Before Bowen Therapy
After 3rd Treatment
-
Hind end beginning to tuck under – sign of hind end weakness
-
Tail nob resides on the right – holding pain/weakness on RHS
-
Hips are slightly rounded – indicating hip and knee issues
-
Hocks are low to the ground (right more so) – weakness in knees
-
Hind limbs are close together – compensating for weakness
-
The right-back limb is held back - not bearing full weight
-
Front limbs are in a wide stance - sign of bearing more weight due to compensating for hind end weakness
-
Hair changes textures at the thoracic vertebrae underneath the trapezius muscle – tissue fleet tuff in this area (possible scare tissue)
-
The hind end has untucked – this helps the spinal column to straighten, the hind legs to come out from beneath which allows the hind end to support and balance weight more evenly
-
The legs have all become more parallel with one another and the hind legs are no longer close together – this is demonstrating how he is no longer shifting his weight forward and is now bearing his weight evenly
-
the right leg is no longer being held back – this indicates that he has gained strength back to the right joint and isn’t holding weakness or pain in this area
Jill was amazing with our Rottweiler and Shih Tzu. After doing Bowen Therapy with them for about 4 days, there was a visible difference in their stance and movement. Jill demonstrated great patience and calmness with the dogs that seemed to draw them to her. I would definitely recommend Jill to work with your dog.

Left hind leg is being held back- demonstrating weakness or pain in the hip or knee joint
The front legs are closer together- indicating an attempt to take the weight off the front end
Hind legs in a wide stance- a sign of compensating for front end weakness
Hips are rounding and the hind end is beginning to tuck under -is a sign of hind end weakness which is the typical indicator of arthritis
Having Jill come to us when willow was suffering from mobility issues was a game-changer. I didn’t have to worry about being able to get her in and out of the car without causing further damage. Jills presence created a calming environment so Willow got to relax in her favorite spots, the couch and the deck.
I saw changes in her after the second session, and I’m happy to say willow is no longer limping.
Our family had such great experience with Jill. We would recommend K9 Bowen Therapy if your dog has mobility issues.

When I first met with willow she had just suffered an injury. She was limping and unable to distribute and bear weight evenly. She showed signs of weakness and discomfort. Her body structure was being compromised from her compensation for weakness.
Willow is now able to support herself, her hind end is untucked displaying how her hips and knee joints have gained strength, and her hocks are no longer low to the ground. The back limbs were in a wide stance, but are now underneath and are now parallel to each other, the front limbs were closer together and are now in a wider stance showing she is not shifting her weight backwards to compensate for front-end weaknesses.
